How do I book?
Simply click BOOK NOW and select the date and time you would like to book for here on our website. If you would like to book more than one room at the same time for a larger group, you can contact us via email at liffordoldcourthouse@gmail.com and we can great a custom booking for you.

How long does it take?
You have 30/60 minutes to escape the room. We tell groups to allow an extra 30 minutes on top of this for their visit to allow time for briefing before and after the game. We ask you to please arrive at the time on your booking as we need to be able to maintain social distancing amongst groups.
How many players can I have?
Jailbreak is suitable for teams of between 2 & 6 players per cell. From experience, we have found 4 players to be the ideal number, but this is at the discretion of you and your group and it is entirely possible to escape & enjoy the experience with anywhere from 2 to 6 players.
How hard is it?
You will find a lot of the challenges involve common sense rather than just intellect. Your group will require team-work and brainpower to escape but you do not need any special ‘skills’ to get out of the room and there are no real physical challenges.
Is it fun?
Hopefully! The escape room is designed to be entertaining and working against the clock certainly brings out the competitive side of people!
What happens if we get stuck on a puzzle?
Don’t worry! There will be guard on standby with extra clues if you need it!
Are you allowed to bring phones inside?
You are allowed your phones in with you but please note that selfies, photos or videos are not allowed while in the room so as not to spoil the experience for others.
I’m no good at Math! Will I still be able to play?
Beyond knowing the basic numbers, you will not need any math skills.
What should I wear?
You can wear whatever you like in our escape room. We wouldn’t recommend heels and we do suggest as these are genuine 18th century prison cells and can get a bit chilly that you may want to bring something warm, but anything can be worn.
What if I have a bigger group?
If you have a bigger group (more than 6 players) then you can make Jailbreak even more exciting by adding an extra competitive element as we can open up to 4 rooms to allow you all to compete not only against the clock, but against each other. Please note that we do need prior notice of larger groups.
What ages can play?
The game is primarily designed for adults and so we would recommend that only children over 12 play due to the complexity of the puzzles. Only person who are at least 18 years of age are permitted to book Jailbreak. Players under 18 are permitted. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult (over 18) in the escape room itself. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult (over 18). For groups with kids under 12, our Junior Jailbreak game is perfect for 8+.
What if I need to change my booking?
If you need to cancel or reschedule a booking please contact us at liffordoldcourthouse@gmail.com at least 48 hours before your game is scheduled to take place. Please note that once you have booked a room with us it means that we have reserved time in our schedule exclusively for your group. If you cancel your game less than 48 hours before, you will not be eligible for a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours of the booking, may be eligible for a voucher refund which can be used for rebooking.
What if I'm late?
If you are late for more than 10 minutes of the original starting time of your booking, you may not receive a full hour in the room in order to facilitate other bookings. Please call us on (074) 9141733 or email liffordoldcourthouse@gmail.com to inform us if you are running late. A booking becomes a no-show and entry may be declined if the team is late by 20 minutes or more. In such a situation the money is not refundable and the booking is not changeable. We will always try our best to facilitate groups running late, but this may not always be possible.
What if I have more or less people?
In case less people attending the event than it is booked for, the price difference will not be refunded. If more people attending the game than it is booked for the price difference can be settled upon arrival to the event – up to the maximum capacity of the room.
