3.1 By Car

A public car park is available at the local cinema, approximately 100 metres from the Courthouse.
Two accessible parking spaces are available at the side of the building.

3.2 By Bus

Bus services connect Lifford with Dublin and other major towns.
Local bus services provide level access for wheelchair users.
The nearest bus stop is approximately 300 metres from the venue.

3.3 By Train

There is no train service available locally.

3.4 By Taxi

Taxi companies in nearby Strabane provide wheelchair-accessible vehicles.

4. Key Accessibility Features

4.1 Information and Wayfinding

  • 4.1.1 Access routes: A disability access ramp is located at the side of the building. Floors are level through to the foyer and restaurant. A lift provides access to the upper and lower floors.
  • 4.1.2 Audio information: An audio guide is available for the tour.
  • 4.1.3 Large print: No large-print materials are currently available.
  • 4.1.4 Braille / tactile signage: No braille or tactile signage is currently available.
  • 4.1.5 Accessibility floorplan: There is no accessibility floorplan at present.

4.2 Services

  • 4.2.1 Staff training: Staff have not yet received formal disability awareness training.
  • 4.2.2 Emergency procedures: Emergency call points are available on every level of the building.
  • 4.2.3 Familiarisation visits: Visitors are welcome to visit and familiarise themselves with the building at any time.
  • 4.2.4 Fast-track options: Not currently available.
  • 4.2.5 Sign language services: Not currently available.
  • 4.2.6 Assistive listening: A hearing loop is available at reception.
  • 4.2.7 Quiet space: There is no designated quiet or low-sensory room; however, the former cells may offer a quieter environment if required.
